Murdoch University Dubai is hosting its second Master of Education workshop for the year to give educators inspiration and ideas for their own practice, and also to encourage them to think about taking their education journey to the next level.  The workshop will cover topics such as effective leadership, innovation in learning and the role of teachers in leading change.

The concept of innovation is taking a new lead and is paving way to a whole new realm of educational reforms. Having to prepare today’s children for an increasingly connected tomorrow, it is mandatory for teachers to adopt methods that would best fit the needs of the next generation.  In this context, Mr Michael Gernon, VP for Innovation, Research, and Development for GEMS Education and CEO of GEMS Wellington Academy, Dubai Silicon Oasis, will be discussing the key tenets of innovation and strategies essential for 21st century education.

Education has seen a cultural shift which is directed towards a willingness and ability to change at the same pace as the world around it is changing. Mr Greg Smith, Chief Operations Officer, Schrole, Australia and Mr Rob Godley, Global Managing Consultant, Schrole, UAE will address ‘Effective Leadership for Building School Cultures and Empowering Teams’ at the workshop.

The event will conclude with Ms Claire Macrae, Program Coordinator, MEd, Murdoch University Dubai, sharing her thoughts on ‘Teachers being a Change Agent’.

The workshop is geared towards educators and is scheduled for Monday 26 October 2015 at Gloria Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai Internet City. This is an open event and would require attendees to RSVP by mailing us at med@murdochdubai.ac.ae or calling +971 4435 5700.
