Classes start Sunday September 2
Hallways are buzzing at Murdoch University, Dubai as freshmen visit campus to register for their courses and get their class schedules for academic year 2012/2013 which commences on September 2. Students will start the trimester with a week of orientation, which is a week full of activities to help new students settle into university. The week will start off with a campus tour of Murdoch and Dubai International Academic City (DIAC). Throughout the week students will be registering for various student clubs. Towards the end of the university will be hosting fresher’s night out, an acquaintance party for all students.
As Murdoch University, Dubai enters its 5th year; the campus will be doubling its capacity over the next year. Currently home to over 650 students, the Australian university is looking forward to embracing its future discoverers. Murdoch University, Dubai has awarded the best and brightest with various scholarships for the upcoming academic year across all of its foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
The Scholarships are awarded on academic merit and recognise the achievement of young school leavers. These have also been extended to those individuals who have showcased exceptional talent in sporting and extra-curricular activities. New for this year are the Sir Walter Murdoch and Dean’s Recognition scholarship, the criteria for which are set by the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Murdoch University, Dubai, Professor John Grainger.
Murdoch Business School has also merited its own specialised scholarships for its Masters programs in Business Administration and Human Resource Management. The postgraduate programs have attracted students from across many industries including finance, aviation, construction, law and media.
Whilst opportunities are limited, Murdoch University, Dubai is proud to award its future leaders the chance to gain an internationally recognised Australian qualification. Celebrating four years of success, Murdoch University, Dubai is proud to have graduated over 140 students across the undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
