About Marketing (BCom)

Want to learn how to win friends and influence people? That is what Marketing is all about, influencing behaviour, attitudes and perceptions of people through various forms of communication. As a result everyday we are often the target of a variety of marketing communications that aim at changing our perceptions or altering our attitudes in order, in most cases, to make us buy a product or service.

Marketing is obviously an essential role in all public and commercial organisations. Organisations manage their marketing activities to create customer satisfaction by building value relationships. Marketing Management identifies customer needs and wants, determines which target markets the organisation can best serve, and develops and manages the appropriate products, services and strategies to satisfy that market.

Your study of Marketing will provide you with an understanding of marketing theory through practical applications of the marketing exchange processes using Product Development and Planning, Pricing Strategies, Integrated Marketing Communications and Distribution Channel Management.

You can submit documentation via post, email, facsimile or in person. Please be aware that in order to gain a full offer you must meet our minimum entry requirements and all your original transcripts will need to be sighted by one of our Admissions Officers.

UG/MUPC Application Checklist:

  1. Complete the undergraduate application form.
  2. Submit all of your completed qualifications and the transcripts of your results.
  • This will help the university to properly assess your application.
  • Incomplete applications will not be processed.
  1. Enclose certified copies of your English test score (IELTS or TOEFL) if applicable.
  2. An application fee should be included along with the application.
  • Undergraduate application fee – AED 250
  1. Submit two passport size photographs.
  2. Submit your passport copy with visa page.

Applications sent without this fee will not be processed.

I’m really excited to be graduating next year ! I’m currently pursuing my second year in business and media and my journey at Murdoch Dubai to date has been rewarding.

I decided to take up marketing and public relations as I believe they are the most creative and interesting majors to combine. It would give me endless opportunities in fields of advertising, digital media, public relations, corporate communications, strategic planning and many more.

The knowledge imparted during lectures and group discussions, the activities and events I get to take part in and, the friendly and diverse environment are some of the things that I value most. I also owe a lot to my seniors who helped me during my “school to university transition” in my first year.

If I had to follow in the footsteps of one person at Murdoch Dubai, it would be Prof Malcolm Ward who shared his wisdom and experience in every class.

Upon graduation, I would like to pursue public relations in the corporate field.
