Daniel Adkins
Chief Executive Officer, Global Institute Middle East FZ LLC

Dan joined Global Institute in November 2009. Born in the United States, Dan began his career working in the information technology industry. During his time in the IT industry he performed IT services for companies including IBM, Dell, Clorox, Philips, Hershey’s, Coca-Cola, Merck, and VISA. Over the course of 20 years, Dan held numerous management positions, including CIO and CEO. Before coming to the UAE he worked extensively in the United States, India, Vietnam, the UK, and the Philippines. He has taught IT professionals in various disciplines including project management, quality management, and leadership skills. After founding an international school in India, he moved to the UAE in 2007 to return to his passions; teaching and lifelong learning. Dan holds an MBA from Herriot-Watt University and has received professional certifications in project management, quality assurance, and TEFL. He has lectured at the university level in IT, economics, accounting, and law and at the secondary level in business studies, English, law, mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology.

Biju Veetil
Chief Technology Officer
IT and Technical Operations

Biju joined Global Institute Dubai in March 2008 as IT & Technical Manager. He is responsible for the management of the University’s data, application, network infrastructure and all media facilities.

In January 2017, he has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer of Global Institute. In his capacity as CTO, he is responsible for the IT Operations of all branch campuses.

Biju has overall accountability for IT & media facilities, strategic growth, and day-to-day management, budgeting and resource management of group campuses. He ensures proper delivery of technologies such as the enterprise storage system, backup, database management, student management systems, web technologies, disaster prevention, recovery technologies, and enterprise system monitoring and management technologies to all departments.

Biju has 16 plus years of experience in the IT industry mainly on implementing various IT projects in banking and education sector. He holds an MBA from Murdoch University, Diploma in Electronics Engineering as well as being a certified ITIL, Microsoft & Cisco System Engineer.

Sanjay Rodrigues
Senior Vice President – Strategy and Special Projects

Risk Management and Internal Audit Department

Sanjay joined Global Institute in September 2007 as Senior Accounts Officer jointly sharing responsibility for accounts and general administrative start-up of the University.

In March 2009 he was appointed as Assistant Manager – Risk Management & Internal Audit. Sanjay was promoted to Finance & Accounts Manager in February 2011.

After taking a break from the UAE in November 2011 he moved to Goa, India, and worked as a volunteer for a UK based charitable organization and was later employed as the General Manager to look after 3 charitable houses.

Later he immigrated to NY, US.

In January 2014 Sanjay re-joined Global Institute as MIS, Risk Assessment & Internal Audit Manager and was later promoted to Group Controller – Risk Assessment, MIS & Internal Audit. In November 2016 Sanjay was promoted as Senior Vice President – Strategy and Special Projects.

Prior to joining Global Institute, Sanjay has worked in a variety of fields including the travel and facilities management. He has 22 years of work experience out of which almost 17 years spent in the UAE.
Sanjay holds a MBA degree, a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, and a Diploma in International Airline & Travel Management with Honours.

Gary Fernandes

Gary A. Fernandes
Vice President – Marketing and Student Recruitment
Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions Department

Gary joined Global Institute in June 2013 as Head of Marketing and Student Recruitment and is responsible for directing and driving the overall corporate branding and integrated marketing strategy with specific oversight of the Corporate Communications, Student Recruitment, Business Development and Admissions operations. In 2015, he was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Student Recruitment.

Gary has garnered over a decade of extensive experience and expertise in Higher Education Marketing and Global Student Recruitment within multi-cultural and international environments. Gary has a successful track record for raising standards of excellence and growth in student recruitment, and remains passionate about innovation in marketing, developing high-performance teams and building long-term collaborative partnerships.

Prior to joining Global Institute, Gary was Regional Director, Marketing and Student Recruitment at Hult International Business School where he orchestrated the development and growth of Hult's Undergraduate Brand throughout Middle East, Africa and South Asia since 2009. Earlier in his career he has also held various marketing, sales and management positions at leading schools including Dubai Aerospace Enterprise University and Flight Academy and the University of Wollongong in Dubai.

Gary holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Marketing and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Marketing from the University of Wollongong in Dubai where he also served as President of the Student Representative Council.

Bidisha Sen

Bidisha Sen
HR & Administration Manager
Human Resources and Administration

Bidisha is the HR and Administration Manager at Global Institute Dubai, where she is responsible to oversee the overall strategic and operational HR function.

She joined Global Institute in April 2014 and has diverse exposure in cross functional industries from MNCs to start-ups. Her experience in dealing with multicultural communities gives her a edge while handling difficult transformational periods and bringing a positive work environment in the organization. Her previous assignments were in global companies like Samsung, Air Charter International. She has been extensively working in areas of recruitment, performance management, training, talent management and employee relations.

Bidisha holds a Master’s in Human Resource Management and is also actively involved is various charitable activities across India and Dubai.

Manish Chetwani

Manish Chetwani

Manish joined Global Institute in October 2010 as Senior Accounts Officer sharing the responsibility for Accounts and financial reporting of the University.

In October 2015 he has been appointed as Assistant Finance Manager – Manish became responsible for managing the Accounts and Finance Department including, dealing with financial institutions and other stakeholders.

Prior to joining Global Institute, Manish has worked in a variety of fields including Software, Retail, Property & Diamond Companies.

He has 16 years of work experience out of which almost 10 years spent in the UAE. Manish holds MBA, from SMU University, Bachelor Degree in Commerce, from MDS AJMER Rajasthan University, India
